Is an announced reset the same as my regular limit recovery?
We track public extra-reset announcements and cannot read your account. Check the official usage page for your limits, recovery time and available reset credits, or run /status in the Codex CLI.
What is the difference between an automatic reset and a reset credit?
An automatic reset applies directly to eligible limits. A reset credit is stored in your account and must be used manually. A post may include both. Eligibility, affected limits and expiry depend on the promotion and your account.
Why has my account not changed after an announcement?
Check eligibility, account and workspace, whether distribution is ongoing, and whether you must manually use a reset credit. Refresh the official usage page and contact official support if needed. We cannot confirm individual account resets.
When will the next extra reset happen?
The timing is unknown. We record sourced announcements and label explicit plans as announced; elapsed time does not automatically mean completion. Historical intervals do not establish OpenAI’s future schedule.
